Unique and Accurate Eye Testing Methods
The gift of sight or the ability to “see” is something we often find ourselves taking for granted as people. Understandably, most of us are too busy: working hard, raising families, running businesses, building our futures, living our lives or sometimes doing all of the above at the same time. But your eyes are so important, in fact, too important for us here at Mahlangu Eyecare to forget about.
We’ve developed and perfected a unique and simple testing method which gives clear and comfortable eyesight. Most eye tests look to getting accurate results alone, but focusing on accuracy alone without paying any attention to comfort can hurt your overall visual experiences. Our method of testing involves a five step process that ensures that we get the most accurate “comfortable” prescriptions.

We have dedicated our lives to the correction of human vision. We regard the eyes of our patients as a sacred gift from God, and we acknowledge that it is the only pair of eyes they will ever have. Therefore, we make a solemn promise that the quality and not the price, is of primary importance.
Step 1: The eye test starts with the case history of a patient.
Step 2: We monitor the eye's behaviour under specific conditions.
Step 3: We assess the health of the eyes themselves outside of the vision test.
Step 4: Thereafter follows a comprehensive refraction, viz., correcting eyesight from subnormal level to ideally 100%.
Step 5: Then we give out a prescription and recommendations.
